Существует как минимум 12 групп Arise, и спасибо великому lastfm за то что они выделили на все эти группы всего одну страницу! Несмотря на все это я постараюсь внести ясность для тех людей кто зашел на эту страницу :P И разложу все по полочкам.
Arise (Швеция) 1994 - ...
Melodic Death / Thrash Metal
Группа была сформирована в 1994 году Патриком Скоглоу (Patrik Skoglow) и Даниелем Бугно (Daniel Bugno). Они начали с коверов, что было популярно в то время, таких групп как Sepultura, Pantera и Machine Head. И не секрет что Sepultura связана с назвванием группы. Эрик Люнгквист (Erik Ljungqvist) стал первым гитаристом группы и чуть позже пришли второй гитарист L-G Jonasson и вокалист Йорген Селандер (Jorgen "Seabass" Sjolander). В таком составе группа просуществовала год, пока за микрофон не встал Бьорн Андвик (Bjorn Andvik). Это был первый реально-сессионный состав группы и они начали сочинять свой материал.
После некоторого времени Бьорн ушел из группы и дальнецшая его судьба неизвестна, что позволило Эрику попробовать себя в качестве вокалиста. Оказалось что у Эрика вокал даже намного лучше и глубже чем был у Бьорна. Arise приняли решение перестать делать ковера и вокал Эрика отлично подходит для материала к записи. Таким образом группа сфокусировалась на Скандинавской сцене, особенно на death/thrash. Два демо были записаны с рекордной скоростью и самомтоятельно, без участия какого-либо лэйбла.
В апреле 2000 года Arise входит на студию в Лос Анджелесе с Энди ЛаРоком (Andy LaRocque) в качестве продюссера. В результате ваышло профессиональное демо под названием "Abducted Intellegence", получившее хорошие отзывы и группой заинересовались на Spinefarm Records (Финляндия). В мае 2001 группа записывает первый полноформатный альбом "The Godly Work Of Art" на студии StudioMega, выпущенный в ноябре 2001 года.
В 2001 году выходит их первый полноформатник “The Godly Work of Art” записанный в студии Mega с Christian “Bullen” Silver (Cemetary) в качестве звукорежисёра и Niklas Sundin из Dark Tranquillity, который работал над оформлением. В октябре того же года этот альбом получает положительные оценки критиков и выигрывают номинацию Sound check шведского журнала Close Up #49. Также этот альбом был номинирован на "лучший метал-альбом Норвегии" на Radio Rocket.
В сентябре 2002 года, после участия в Spine-fest и неудачных переговоров с Nuclear Blast, Arise записывают второй альбом на той же студии под названием “Kings Of The Cloned Generation”. Паралельно с записью альбома они участвуют в турне вместе с такими группами как: Vader, Deranged и Arkhon Infaustus (весна -03). После турне они были приглашены на фестиваль с такими монстрами как Morbid Angel, Meshuggah, Sentenced, Finntroll и Within Temptation.
В 2004 выходит их лучший альбом “The Beautiful New World” также записаный на студии Mega. Но с его записью в группе возникли конфликты, в следствии чего группу покидают Patrik и Erik. Их места занимают Patzy - вокал, Sternberg - гитара и Kai - бас.
В данный момент идут записи нового альбома "The Reckoning", выход которого планируется на февраль/март 2009 года на студии Regain records.

Малоизвестный но весьма достойный коллектив из Берлина, группа сформировалась в 2002м, но первое дэмо выпустила лишь в 2007м, закрепив успех новым EP в 2009 - Timeless Aeons, который к слову был очень приятно воспринят критиками. В скоре после записи сего релиза, от группы ушла вокалистка Priscila Serrano, и на данный момент группа ищет нового претендента на вокал.

Российская группа Arise образовалась в 2007 году в городе Омске. В состав группы на тот момент входили Сергей Ратахин(гитара), Александр Кузнецов(гитара), Мельничук Денис(бас гитара), Толстуха Борис(вокал). Некоторое время не могли найти барабанщика, но в октябре 2007 года пришел молодой барабанщик- Тупейко Егор, и группа начала работать над материалом. Песни были свои, а так же кавер-версии известных композиций Металлики, Queen, Helloween, Accept. Группа работала примерно в таком стиле. В феврале 2008 года ушел из группы Сергей Ратахин, его сменил талантливый гитарист Петраков Кирилл. С первых же репетиций группа стала звучать по-другому, стал меняться стиль в сторону блюз-рока с элементами фанка. Почувствовав перемены, уходит из группы Борис, а вокалистом стал Кузнецов Александр, обладающий неплохими вокальными данными. С тех пор состав не менялся, группа развивается, часто выступает на разных площадках города, имеет большое уважение на омской сцене.

1. Swedish death/thrash metal band:
Arise was founded 1996 in Alingsås, Sweden outside Gothenburg, under another name, but changed their name to Arise for the first demo recording Arise in 1998. They released two demos in 1999, Statues and Resurrection. They released two demos in 2000, Hell's Retribution and the fifth and final demo Abducted Intelligence was recorded in Los Angered Recordings by Andy LaRocque which earned the accolade "Demo Recording of the Month" in Sweden's Close Up Magazine. In 2001 the band signed to Spinefarm Records who released their debut full length album The Godly Work of Art. The same year, the band was nominated for the Swedish Rockbjörnen award. Their second full length studio album Kings of the Cloned Generation was released in 2003 also on Spinefarm Records. Spinefarm was bought by Universal Records during that time, resulting in wider distribution for their albums. The third full length album The Beautiful New World was recorded and released in 2005 on Spinefarm Records. The Beautiful New World received a review score of 9/10 in Terrorizer Magazine.
In December 2005, bassist Patrik Skoglöw and vocalist & rhythm guitarist Erik Ljungkvist left Arise due to differences in opinion. They were replaced by Patrik Johansson (vocals), Sternberg (guitars) and Kai L (bass).
The most recent album by Arise is the 2010 full length The Reckoning released by Regain Records. The band remains active today.

3. Arise is an American progressive Southern Gospel trio from southwestern Ohio.
Arise began around 1998 in Fairfield, OH USA. Jason Begley and Kim Romine, both final members and cousins, started the group. For years, they sang in their home church and around the community at various singings and church gatherings.
In 2002, Arise recorded their first album, the self-titled Arise. It was a collection of traditional Southern Gospel staples and fan favorites, including the songs "I Got Up and Went", "I'm Bound for a City", and Dottie Rambo's "I've Never Been This Homesick Before".
During the summer o2f 003, Arise was named a semi-finalist in the Exalting Him 2003 National Talent Search.
Arise recorded a new project titled A Living Testimony in the summer of 2004. It was produced by Jimmy Dooley. It was Arise's first attempt at original material, including songs written by Jimmy Dooley, John Darin Rowsey, Greg Day, Sheri LaFontaine, Crystal Lewis, and Arise's own Jason Begley. It also included their first radio single, "Taking A Turn For The Best", featured on the Rick Hendrix Company's Compilation #33.
Arise is now on an indefinite hiatus, having parted ways in 2006 There has been talk about reuniting and possibly with a new name, although nothing has been official.

Four guys formed the band in Dec 2005 with genuine 80's thrash metal influence. This band named "Arise" started their gigs in May 2006 after their hyperactive preparation based on "Thrash", which was way beyond "mixture of music" type thing. The band has opened for many bands from many countries and is respected by the people in local music industries. No frills, no fancy stuff. Proud of being minor. Their aggressive attitude tells that. 1. Swedish death/thrash metal band:
Arise was founded 1996 in Alingsås, Sweden outside Gothenburg, under another name, but changed their name to Arise for the first demo recording Arise in 1998. They released two demos in 1999, Statues and Resurrection. They released two demos in 2000, Hell's Retribution and the fifth and final demo Abducted Intelligence was recorded in Los Angered Recordings by Andy LaRocque which earned the accolade "Demo Recording of the Month" in Sweden's Close Up Magazine. In 2001 the band signed to Spinefarm Records who released their debut full length album The Godly Work of Art. The same year, the band was nominated for the Swedish Rockbjörnen award. Their second full length studio album Kings of the Cloned Generation was released in 2003 also on Spinefarm Records. Spinefarm was bought by Universal Records during that time, resulting in wider distribution for their albums. The third full length album The Beautiful New World was recorded and released in 2005 on Spinefarm Records. The Beautiful New World received a review score of 9/10 in Terrorizer Magazine.
In December 2005, bassist Patrik Skoglöw and vocalist & rhythm guitarist Erik Ljungkvist left Arise due to differences in opinion. They were replaced by Patrik Johansson (vocals), Sternberg (guitars) and Kai L (bass).
The most recent album by Arise is the 2010 full length The Reckoning released by Regain Records. The band remains active today.

3. Arise is an American progressive Southern Gospel trio from southwestern Ohio.
Arise began around 1998 in Fairfield, OH USA. Jason Begley and Kim Romine, both final members and cousins, started the group. For years, they sang in their home church and around the community at various singings and church gatherings.
In 2002, Arise recorded their first album, the self-titled Arise. It was a collection of traditional Southern Gospel staples and fan favorites, including the songs "I Got Up and Went", "I'm Bound for a City", and Dottie Rambo's "I've Never Been This Homesick Before".
During the summer o2f 003, Arise was named a semi-finalist in the Exalting Him 2003 National Talent Search.
Arise recorded a new project titled A Living Testimony in the summer of 2004. It was produced by Jimmy Dooley. It was Arise's first attempt at original material, including songs written by Jimmy Dooley, John Darin Rowsey, Greg Day, Sheri LaFontaine, Crystal Lewis, and Arise's own Jason Begley. It also included their first radio single, "Taking A Turn For The Best", featured on the Rick Hendrix Company's Compilation #33.
Arise is now on an indefinite hiatus, having parted ways in 2006 There has been talk about reuniting and possibly with a new name, although nothing has been official.

Four guys formed the band in Dec 2005 with genuine 80's thrash metal influence. This band named "Arise" started their gigs in May 2006 after their hyperactive preparation based on "Thrash", which was way beyond "mixture of music" type thing. The band has opened for many bands from many countries and is respected by the people in local music industries. No frills, no fancy stuff. Proud of being minor. Their aggressive attitude tells that. Their 1st demo "It's only THRASH! But I like it!" was released in April 2007. The eye of the loud and heavy music hurricane will invade your town! They have released their debut full length album in 2013, titled Don't Worry Be Happy!. They are still active.
