There is more than one artist with that name:
1) Funeral Oration were a melodic hardcore punk band from Amsterdam, the Netherlands. They were active from 1983 'til the end of the '90s, putting out highly influential records on dutch, german, british and american labels. Many of their early records never reached print in the US, and are very hard to find now. Their last release chronicaled these european releases in a double CD "Discography" put out by Hopeless Records.
2) Funeral Oration were a cult band from Italy, formed in 1989 playing a unique style of fast, symphonic black metal. The band featured Nick Curri who wrote for the cult magazine Flash back in the nineties, as well as Malfeitor Fabban from Aborym (and Void of Silence) on bass duties, some composition and lyrics. They released several demo's and their one album Sursum Luna in 1996, quite fast and blasting, a sort of mixture of Mystifier and Mortuary Drape!
