Группа была сформирована в 1999 году в городе Манчестер (Коннектикут). Первым релизом группы был сплит с группой Solace (Нью-Йорк), тогда еще с большим влиянием металкора.
После смены стиля группа самостоятельно выдала демо-запись All These Things Tie Me Down в 2002-м, после чего группа подписалась на Indianola Records (ранний A Day To Remeber, ранний Evergreen Terrace). В 2003-м году группа выпускает свой первый полноформатник The Sun Rises and the Sun Sets... and Still Our Time is Endless и в 2005-м Ignite and Rebuild (который также был выдан на христианском Floodgate Records и на Guideline Records (Европа))
В 2006-м, когда закончился контракт с Indianola, группа подписалась на Solid State Records, и в 2007-м выпустила альбом Waking Giants (продюсер Garth Richardson). После издания альбома происходит несколько смен состава. А в 2008-м году группа распадается.
Последний концерт группа отыграла 12 июля 2008-го года в городе Дэнбури (Коннектикут) и еще один небольшой сет 20 декабря 2008.

Life In Your Way is a post-hardcore/melodic hardcore band from Manchester, Connecticut in the USA. They have three Full length albums: The Sun Rises and the Sun Sets, and Still Our Time is Endless (2003), Ignite and Rebuild (2005) and Waking Giants (2007). Other releases: A split with Solace, an EP called "All These Things Tie Me Down", and a demo in 2000. They were signed in June 2006 to Solid State Records.
Life In Your Way disbanded after their last show, which was played at their hometown of Connecticut. This last show was played with all of their current and past members to celebrate their 8 year history.
Announced in February 2011, Life In Your Way has returned, joining the Christian label Come&Live! Their new album, "Kingdoms", is to be released in early 2011.
