Nino de Angelo (born Domenico Gerhard Gorgoglione on 18th December 1963 in Karlsruhe, Germany) is a German actor and singer of Italian ancestry, being best known for his environmental protest song "Jenseits von Eden" (English: Beyond Eden") that was an interntional #1 hit. His first album, titled 'Junges Blut' (English: 'Young Blood'), came out in March 1983. Playing a melodic pop/rock style, his large popularity in the 80s in both West Germany and East Germany continued for several years, but his career faced some changes later on.
His popularity rose again after the new millennium began. For example, his 2002 album 'Solange man liebt...' (English: 'As long as you love...') hit the top 40 in the Austrian and German album charts. He's had many roles in film and on television over the past two decades.
