There are two artists named Sandy Stewart.
1.The first is a successful songwriter from Houston, Texas who has penned songs for Belinda Carlisle, Phil Collins, Tina Turner and Stevie Nicks among others. During the 80s she recorded two solo albums, Cat Dancer (released in 1984) and Blue Yonder (released in 1987). Cat Dancer is particularly notable as it features Stevie Nicks (who she collaborated with on Nicks' second solo album The Wild Heart) singing on several tracks including the duet I Pretend.
Over the years Nicks has also recorded many songs that Stewart has written or co-written including Seven Wonders (with Fleetwood Mac), Maybe Love Will Change Your Mind, Unconditional Love, and Too Far From Texas.
2. The second is a US cabaret artist who came to fame in the early 60s through her many TV appearances on variety shows. Her albums include My Coloring Book, The Songs Of Jerome Kerr and more recently a collaboration with her son, respected jazz pianist Bill Charlap, Love Is Here To Stay. Read more on Last.fm.
