Ещё в 1976 году композитор и клавишник Axel Breitung и вокалист Jo Jo Tyson создали группу "Silent Circle" и даже выиграли свой первый приз на одном из музыкальных фестивалей. Казалось бы, перед ними распахнулись все двери, однако личная жизнь оказалась для каждого из музыкантов важнее музыкальной карьеры, и они потеряли друг друга на целых 8 лет...
В 1984 году Axel Breitung и Jo Jo Tyson встретились вновь и вместе со своим другом, барабанщиком CC Behrens'ом возродили "Silent Circle". Первая же их песня "Hide away - Man is coming!" вошла в десятку их популярнейших синглов. Затем последовали ещё более успешные хиты: "Touch in the night" (была №15 в Германии и Швейцарии), "Stop the rain in the night", "Love is just a word", "Time to love", "Moonlight affair". В результате был выпущен первый их альбом "№1" (1986), состоявший из одиннадцати интересных композиций. Все песни альбома были непохожи друг на друга, что отличало "Silent Circle" от других "диско"-групп 80-х. После этого к их группе присоединился четвёртый участник - Harald Shaefer, который заменял Axel'а во время публичных выступлений, а Axel посвятил себя полностью написанию новых песен. Фанаты с нетерпением ожидали выхода нового альбома, но они ещё не знали, что следующий альбом "Silent Circle" будет выпущен только... спустя очередные 8 лет!
И действительно: личная жизнь, приобретение недвижимости, гастроли и выступления в телешоу настолько захватили участников группы, что в 1987 году у них появилось всего две новые песни: "Danger danger" и "Don't loose your heart tonight". Ещё две песни они подарили своим поклонникам в 1989 году: "I am your believe" и "What a shame". Только в 1993 году вышел их запоздалый второй альбом "Back", включавший синглы предыдущих лет. Но к тому времени интерес к стилю "диско" давно уже сошёл на нет. Музыканты были вынуждены искать новые сферы для приложения своих творческих способностей. Так, Axel Breitung (один из ведущих и авторитетнейших немецких композиторов и продьюсеров) писал музыку для известного "техно"-исполнителя DJ Bobo, в конце 90-х был сопродьюсером Дитера Болена по "Modern Talking", сейчас работает с "Ace of Base".

Silent Circle is a 1980s Euro disco band from Germany, known for its hits "Touch In the Night", "Stop the Rain" and "Moonlight Affair". Since the early 1980s, they have been frequent visitors to charts in Germany as well as other European countries. Silent Circle has always worked with Bernd Dietrich, an acclaimed German producer and publisher who has brought the band media attention and helped to propel them and their music to success.
Around the height of the DJ Bobo's popularity in Germany became popular and with him Axel Breitung as Co-songwriter and producer, Axel also became the role of the producer for his own band Silent Circle. In the past he remixed the Italo Boot Mixes and worked with Thomas Anders (Modern Talking), Fancy and many others. With this success in the back Silent Circle released 1994 a brandnew album called "Back", which contains the smash hits "2night" and "Every move every touch". They appeared at the TV, the songs were played in the radio and a headliner tour brought the band to more than 50 cities in Germany. Both singles stayed in the top 15 of the dance charts for many weeks.
Back in 1998. Silent Circle are BACK again! After a break of more than three years! The first new single "One more night/Be my lover" will be released in Spring this year and the new album "Stories `bout love" is produced by singer and author Martin Tychsen in his own "In the gardens" studio due for a release at the end of the year. Silent Circle were continuing with their successful style and its proven mixture of dance floor and melody. Silent Circle had kept the style without forgetting current fashion. The single “Night train” is one of the best shots of their current album - now available as single-CD containing more than 35 minutes of music.
