Subject: b/beatles/she_said.tabDate: Wed, 16 Aug 1995 16:45:41 +0100 (BST)From: Howard Wright She Said She Said - The Beatles --------------------------------------------- From the album `Revolver` tabbed by Howard Wright H.Wright@astro.cf.ac.ukh = hammer onp = pull offb = bendr = release bendIntro riff :------------E-------------------------B------2h3--2h3--2h3-5----G--2h4-----------------2--D-------------------------A-------------------------E-----------------What I have for the chords is : A G D A G DShe said I know what it`s like to be dead I know what it ...Basically it`s these three chords for nearly the whole song, apart from : Em A7 D A7 DWhen I was a boy e`thing was right e`thing was rightAnd that`s it.As for the instruments : one guitar plays the chords, with a cleanish soundThe second electric plays lead parts which sometimes echo the tune, but thisguitar also plays the riff that comes after ` making me feel like I`ve neverbeen born` :E---------------------------------B------------------------------G---4b6r4-2--4--0-----0---2---------D-------------------2---2--------A-------------------------------E-------------------------------So , with these two guitars you have bass - fairly simple stuff here, a lot ofroot notes except for the `when I was a boy` bit, where the bass plays on the1st 3rd and 5th of the chords.Add drums, and harmony vocals (nearly all singing in 3rds) and you`ve got it.I just recorded a cover of this on 8-track, and stuck pretty much to the original sound. I double tracked that riff to give it more edge, and added a fewmore vocals, but it sounded very good.As a point of interest, check out the cymbals on the original. On the bit with the guitar riff (between verses) there seem to be a lot of loudcymbals - a lot louder than the bulk of the song.Maybe they overdubbed extra cymbals here ?It certainly gives it a powerful sound, and on the fade out too there`s a lotof cymbals.Great song !Howard
