Текст песни Bill Anderson - Serenity Prayer

Bill Anderson - Serenity Prayer слова песни

Soft as the voice of an angel whispers our comforting wayYou know all entertainers get mail from their fansAnd sometimes folks even write to us for adviceFor example; I got a letter not long ago From man that worked in a factoryThe factory had been forced to close downAnd sadly the young man had lost his jobHe`d been out of work for about a yearWhen his wife gave up took their three kids and left himHe`d been looking for work all this time And now he`s facing the situation all aloneHe says that sometimes the depression takes overAnd he doesn`t know how he`ll find the strength to go onWell I`m not a professional counselor and certainly not a philosopherI am a country singer but I do know from experienceThat sometimes there is only one thing that will keep your heart from breakingAnd that`s what I`d like to offer to this young manSome words of wisdom from a great old hymnThey call me Whispering BillWell today what I want to whisper is hopeWhispering hope oh how welcome thy voiceI got another letter from a single momTelling me she and her two children are just barely getting byThe child support payments come late and sometimes they don`t come at allThe cost of sending the kids to school is growing every dayShe is working two jobs just to make ends meetShe says sometimes there is just no light at the end of the tunnel only darknessAnd sometimes she feels like ending it allI just hope she will remember these wordsWait `till the darkness is over wait `till the tempest is goneHope for the sunshine tomorrow after the shower is goneNo matter how dark and how turbulent things may seemThe darkness will turn to light and the storm will calmI hope these folks are listening as I whisper these words of hopeNot just for them but for any oneWho finds himself in a seemingly hopeless situationIt may be the homeless the sick the broken familyThe business man even the leaders of our countryAnybody can be overcome by sorrow and desperationAnd while I am just one man with one voiceI can lift it up in a hopeful messageThat wherever there is life there is hopeWhispering hope oh how welcome Thy voiceBathing my heart in it`s sorrow rejoice Whispering Hope
