Biz Markie - My Man Rich слова песни

[Verse One]This is a different type of dedicationTo a guy that was a different kind of inspirationOnly people that knew him, know what I`m talkin aboutAnd at the end of the story, you will say without a doubtThis wasn`t your typical case, of fast livinAnything he was makin, he was givinTo his moms, pops, his brother and his girlCause they, meant, the most to him in the worldAround Suffolk he wasn`t knownBut in Eastern Long Island, he did have a homeCalled L.I., is where he stayedWhere there was no need for D-Con or RaidHe was cool with everybody, he had no enemiesI`m makin this record, cause he`s a friend of meCause he`s a hard workin kid, I`ve just statedThat`s why this record, is dedicatedTo my man RichYo yo, this is for you my manGod bless you[Verse Two]Let me tell you what happened in the early 80`sWhen we wasn`t thinkin about gettin all the ladiesMe and Rich was thinkin about survival of the fittestYou can ask Keith or Kevin, cause both of them were with usWe`d try to get a job everyplace that it takesWe was even at the factory they call {?}Everywhere we went they said they`d call us backOr even said they`re not hirin to throw us off trackBut Richie Rich said, forget that stuffEven though, times was roughWe kept searchin searchin lookin and lookinIt seems everywhere we went, the jobs was tookenStill Rich didn`t give up the faithHe found a job that wasn`t safeEven though it was dangerous, it wouldn`t switchThat`s why this is dedicated to my man RichYo this is to you my man RichCause you know you go way back, you go way backWord up, God bless you[Verse Three]The way the story end, is just a tragedyI wish upon a star that it didn`t have to beendin this way for my man RichardCause still in my mind, he`s still as picturedLike, he just had gone yesterdayFor sellin, C-R-A-C-KHis dream was.. to be a boxerSo, he could knock the socks off ofan Ivan Barkley, or even Mike TysonBut on the streets, he was sacrificinfor his family, and his wifeCause he struggled, he struggled all his lifeHe wasn`t a straight up, criminal or villainOr even tryin to get, stupid or illinWas messed up for takin somebody`s life and shitthat tried so hard, and just wouldn`t quitThis is a slow record, with a switchBecause it`s dedicated, to my man RichTo you my manThis is to you, RichPeace
