C GWith a damp cloth, on my forehead, C F C Lay me down, let me sleep...Changover to chorus: C Am7 GChorus:G Am7 Am I know the wiskey, it won`t soothe my soul,F C And the morphine won`t heal my pain, Am7 G Am FBut if you take me down to the infirmary, yea. C F CI won`t have to sleep, or drink alone.verse:etc. etc.{sorry, that`s all the lyrics I can remember}If that Am7 causes trouble for you drop it, it is just cosmetic, but you have to play it right for it to work. In the verse, it is just onebeat. In the chorus, it gets a few beats, maybe 3.Chorus changeover: Just one beat per chord. C Am7 G (hold the G 2 beats, then your in the chorus).I guess that gives you something, I`m not sure if it is entirely rightthough. Have fun with it, and let me know if there are any problems.
