Donovan Leitch - The Light слова песни

From the album donovanI Died ... and I sighedAs the chains of the flesh left meAs the moans and the groansOf the friend sent meOn my way to the Land of the DeadI flashed ... that my soul was UnharmedAs my earth form I shedThat the image of death had beenA thought in my headAnd the truth was a spirit am II sussed ... that my life had been a lessonChosed by meFor to purify my Soul that I may beWorthy to shine forth the Lightthe Lightthe LightAs I moved ever up-wardA Great Light there cameMore feeling than seeingAnd it filled me with ShameLike a Bright Shining mirror reflecting my beingMy present condition of Soul I was seeingI Beheld ... Forms of Great BeautyThat shone forth the LightWith love vibes they met meA cast off my frightThose great souls of Ages long passedI praised the Great Souls of the AgesWho care for our needsWho lovingly nurtureWisdom`s bright seedShowing the way to the Lightthe Lightthe LightI ached ... for the womb and the EarthAnd another time aroundSeking circumstancesThe best that can be foundTo give me the lessons to learnI was Born ... and thru childhoodMy soul still rembembered the LightAnd thru teens I fought fiercelyFor my vision of the LightWhen I saw Mum and Dad had forgotThe Light, The Light, The Light!
