VerseNow we are gathered hereThis time is sanctifiedWe drink of the wine and eat the breadFor our iniquities his body was bruisedAnd for our peace his blood was shedBut we gather not in sorrowChorus [1]To commemorateVerseThat he died to bring us Back to the fatherWhat you must realizeEach time you eat the breadAnd drink of this cupIt must be saidThat you agree with every wordThat`s in this deedAnd that you embraceThe master`s deathBut its only to remind youChorus [2]The law has been fulfilled VerseA new covenant abidesAnd that veil was brokenWe`re trapped no longer outsideChorus [3] (repeat 2x)So eat the breadAnd drink the wineWe will haveSweet CommunionHe gave His lifeOnce for all timeSo we can haveSweet CommunionVoiceFor I recieved from the Lord What I also pass unto you:The Lord Jesus, on the night He was betrayedTook bread, and when He had given thanksHe broke it and said, "This is my body, which is for youdo this in remembrance of me."In the same way after supper He took the cup saying,"This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, wheneveryou drink, in remembrance of me. For whenever you eat thisbread and drink this cup you proclaim the Lord`s death, until hearose.Chorus [3] 1x
