Текст песни jesus and mary chain - Guitarman

jesus and mary chain - Guitarman слова песни

Well I quit my job down at the carwashLeft my mother a goodbye noteBy sundown I left Kingston with my guitar under my coatHitchiked all the way down to MemphisGot a room at the YMCAFor the next three weeks went hunting at nightsJust looking for a place to playWell I thought my picking would set them on fireBut nobody wanted to hire a guitarmanWell I nearly starved to death down in MemphisI run out of money and luckSo I bummed me a ride down to Mecon, GeorgiaOn an overloaded poultry truckThumbed on down to Panama CityStarted picking at some of them all night barsHoping I could make myself a dollar making music on my guitarGot the same old story the moment I`d appearThere ain`t room around here for a guitarmanDon`t need a guitarman sonSo I slept in the hobo junglesI roamed thousand miles of trackTill I find myself in Mobile, AlabamaAt a club they call Big JacksA little four piece band was jammingSo I took my guitar and I sat inI showed em what a band would sound likeWith a swinging little guitarmanShow em sonIf you ever take a trip down to the oceanFind yourself down around MobileMake it on out to a club called JacksIf you got a little time to killJust follow that crowd of peopleYou`ll wind up out on his dance floorDigging the finest little five piece groupUp and down the Gulf of MexicoGuess who`s leading that five piece bandWouldn`t you know it`s that swinging little guitarman"he was a degenerates degenerate"
