Текст песни LOREENA MCKENNITT - Let All That Are To Mirth Inclined

(Traditional)Let all that are to mirth inclinedConsider well and bear in mindWhat our good God for us has doneIn sending his beloved Son( )For to redeem our souls from thrallChrist is the saviour of us all.The twenty-fifth day of DecemberWe have good cause to rememberIn Bethlehem upon that mornThere was a blessed Messiah bornBut mark how all things came to passThe inn and lodgings filled wasThat they could find no room at allBut in a straw-filled ox's stall.Near Bethlehem some shepherds keepTheir flocks and herds of feeding sheepTo whom God's angels did appearWhich put the shepherds in great fear. With thankful heart and joyful mindThe shepherds went this babe to findAnd as the heavenly angel toldThey did our saviour Christ behold.Three eastern wise men from afarDirected by a glorious starCame boldly on and made no stayUntil they came where Jesus lay.And being come unto that placeWhere the blessed Messiah wasThey humbly laid before his feetTheir gifts of gold and incense sweet.See how the Lord of heaven and earthShewd himself lowly in his birthA sweet example for mankindTo learn to bear an humble mind.Let all your songs and praises beUnto his heavenly majestyAnd evermore amongst our mirthRemember Christ our Saviour's birth.
