Текст песни Manowar - Warriors Prayer

Manowar - Warriors Prayer слова песни

Grandfather, tell my a story!Alright, go and get your storybook. No, no, not one of those, a real story!A real story? Yes, tell me about when you were a boy.Well, then, I shall have to take you back with me,A long way in time..."it was my thirteenth year on a cold wintersDay, as I walked through the enchantedForest, I heard the sound of horses, and menAt arms, I felt compelled to walk on andFind the place of these sounds, and whenThe forest did clear I was standing on aHill before me the armies of the worldsStanding, waiting. I thought to myself, forWhom or for what are they waiting? Suddenly a gust of wind came up from theNorth, there appeared a lone rider, holdingA sword of steel, then from the south cameAnother, bearing a battle ax, from the eastCame a third holding a spiked club, andFinally from the west, a rider who weildedA great hammer of war. with them cameTheir soldiers of death, followed by anArmy of immortals. they were few in numberBut the look in their eyes told all whoBeheld them that they would leave this dayOnly in victory or death. and there was aGreat silence...My heart began to pound, storm cloudsFilled the sky with darkness, rain came, andThe four winds blew with such anger that iHeld fast to a tree. I watched the fourRiders raise their weapons into the air.Without warning, screaming their war cryThey led the attack, down to the battle theyRode, they met the armies of the world withA mighty clash! I could feel the groundShake, the earth drank much blood thatDay. each of the four, was unto himself,aWhirlwind of doom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!When the smoke did clear, many thousandsWere dead. there was much blood and gore.Their bodies lay broken and scatteredAcross the battlefield like brown leavesBlown by the wind. and I saw the four rideTogether to the top of the hill, while belowThem the soldiers of death assembled, allThose who would now swear allegianceTo them. And the four spoke the words of theWarriors prayer.Gods of war I call you, my swordIs by my side.I seek a life of honor, free fromAll false pride.I will crack the whip with a boldMighty hail.Cover me with death if I shouldEver fail.Glory, majesty, unityHail, hail, hail. And as I stood and looked on, I heard theArmies of the world hail them withoutEnd, and their voices of victory carriedLong and far throughout the land!"Well, thats it, did you like the story? Yeah, it was great!Oh good, Im glad. now off to bed with you.Grandfather? Yes? Who were those four men? Who were they? They were the metal kings!!!!!!!!!!!!
