From: peterl@lsuc.on.ca========================================================================= The series I have been posting on the sweep pickingtechnique is coming along, and I will have another addition to itshortly. But I thought you all might enjoy this too. This is from the movie "Crossroads" and is the sequence that Eugeneuses at the end of the film to defeat Stevie Vie. It`s entitled"Eugenes trick bag" and if you give it some patient effort, you`llsee that there are some really good arppegio ideas here, though Steveplays this with finger picking, I have adapted it for my sweep stylein as many places as posible. You should try the same, it`s great practiceO`k, lets do it!the opening measure begins on the second 1/4 of the 4th beat. All notes in this passage are 1/16th`s unless otherwise noted.--------|-------------------------------------------------|------------------|-------------------------------------------------|-repeat----2-4-2--|-5--2--4--2--5--2--4--2--5--2--4--2--5--2--4--2--|-measure----------|-------------------------------------------------|------------------|-------------------------------------------------|--3x`s------------|-------------------------------------------------|---------- Ritard here in the 4th bar.
