[Intro]This is for the girls that used to diss meNow they all just...wanna diss me[Chorus]It`s an identity crisis (repeat 3X)I do not know what to doGrow dreads or sport a bald headI don`t knowIt`s an identity crisis (repeat 3X)I do not know what to doWear Nikes or be Dick Van DikeI don`t know[Verse]I was walking down the streetTo a funky beatFeeling real niceFeeling real neatHad a little money so I had something to eatSitting alone so I kicked up my feetAnd what do you know another freakazoidHad a little confidence and didn`t feel voidStood up slow to dust myself offNot too hard, not too softShe was shopping at Miller`s Outpost dudeShe looked 14, I was that plus twoI was kinda dusty cause I just finished skatin`Went over to her and she started hesitatin`I tried to ignore it, then I kicked my gameAnd ever since then I never been the sameShe looked me up and down to check my stiloBefore I said a word, she said she had to goI said "Can I come?" Started kicking my dragShe paused for a minute, listened to what I hadI said, "Can we talk over the phone or somethingInstead of in the mall, be all alone or something"She said "No thanks, it just don`t feel rightCause you walk black and act white" (say word?)And as she walked awayI could hear the ricochetAnd it`s effect on my whole dang life[Chorus]So I grew out my hair, switched up my clothesDown with LA Symph and I rocked some showsDancing and acting a fool and stuffBut in the back of their mind is it all a bluffAm I doin` all of this just to cover it upAll of my insecurities is hovering upEither I gotta act silly or I gotta act toughEither I think I`m the best or I`m bout to get cutDo I rock hip hop or do I wear some slacks?Look like your homeboy or look like your dad?Should I sing a little more or should I stick to rap?And if I sing a little too much will they think it`s blackOr just a little too white to fit a Harlem nightThey wanna put a handcuff on the things that I writeNow it`s a fight just to write a freakin` normal songEither it`s too long or just wrong[Chorus]This is for the girls that used to diss meNow all you wanna do is...
