Текст песни Romanovsky And Phillips - Hymn

Romanovsky And Phillips - Hymn слова песни

(I have no patience left for the Catholic Church. For those whodo, it is my hope that you will not compromise yourselves butwill aggressively work towards bringing them into the 20thcentury.)If there`s something to be learnedFrom examining the pastIt`s that institutions changeOr else they do not lastNow you are such a dinosaurIn the ancient ways you thinkAnd if you do not soon adaptYou too will be extinctI believe that Christ`s intentionMany centuries agoWas to serve and to enlightenAnd to guide our spiritual growthBut the latest word from RomeIs not a loving one at allIf Jesus walked on earth todayI think he`d be appalledNow the priesthood`s quickly shrinkingBut you won`t let women inAnd instead of teaching safer sexYou condemn it as a sinYou deny all women the rightTo decide their bodies` fateSuggesting that their purpose hereIs just to procreateYou say that gays and lesbiansAre fallen from God`s graceAnd tacitly you sanctionAll the violence that we faceYou distort the Bible`s wordsTo support your platitudesBut bigotry is notA very Christian attitudeNow as for reformationI have very little hopeBut if you think it can be doneGo and tell it to the Pope`Cause the clergy and parishionersWho are still inside the closetSupport this persecutionEven if they do not cause it
