Tommy Shane Steiner - The Mind of John J. Blanchard слова песни

(Chris Wallin/Anthony Smith)He had a stroke in `95They thought it best that he resideIn a nursing homeHis family vowed they`d never leave himLast time they came to see himWas three years agoHe spent his whole life providin`Now he was down to relyin`On medicareThe nurses took a likin` to himThey`d get his wheelchair out and push himOn sunny daysHe couldn`t walk, he couldn`t speakSeemed so far outta reachBut in his mind as far as they know he could beFly fishin`, workin` on that Firebird engineRunnin` 99 proof moonshine cross that county line3,2,1 and ignition, off on some space shuttle missionPlayin` QB for the Cowboy`s getting high on the crowd noiseAnd the bright lights`Cause deep inside things were rockin` in the mindOf John J. BlanchardOne afternoon in JuneA nurse saw his finger moveShe bout had a heart attackWent screamin` down the hall"Hey it`s a miracle ya`llI think he`s comin` back"The doctors all rushed inSaid do you know what year this isHow many fingers am I holdin` and where`ve you beenAnd he saidFly fishin`, workin` on that Firebird engineRunnin` 99 proof moonshine cross that county line3,2,1 and ignition, off on some space shuttle missionPlayin` QB for the Cowboy`s getting high on the crowd noiseAnd the bright lights`Cause deep inside things were rockin` in the mindOf John J. BlanchardHe had a stroke in `95They thought it best that he resideIn a nursing home
