Too $hort - Short But Funky слова песни

Verse 1:Life is too short but now it`s kind of funkyI make the beats for me and my homiesNewspaper reporters and others always ask meWhy I`m X-rated and I rap so nastyWhen I was a teen I did nothing elseBut pick up a pen and express myselfThe things I wrote were obsene and kind of dirtyBut mama always said the truth couldn`t hurt meShe also said that it would set me freeI guess she was R-I-G-H-T on the nailCause now I`m out making my mailIt all started out from a freaky taleIf that`s what sells then I`m a stick with itShort Dog ain`t changing, so forget itYou can sell out if you want to, homieBut I`m a stay short but funkyVerse 2:Don`t stop, just call it verse twoIt`s Short Dog baby from the Dangerous CrewNot your average everyday fake rap on the microI might say something that your mother don`t like soDon`t play it loud if she`s around to seeBut you can play this cause it`s rated PGWhen I`m rated X I`m just having my funI bring a smile to each and every oneBut there`s a serious side in everything I sayLife is too short for you to wait `til the next dayJust straighten up your life and you can start right hereDrop the cocaine and the bottles of beerPeople always say it ain`t right to preachBut take my advice, get wise and reach for the skySo you can live like a king homieAnd I`m a stay short but funkyVerse 3:You never catch me on the mic rappin` a dance tuneI like it kind of mellow with the sound of the bass boomThe style is mine, I`ve been doing it for tenYou might say it`s simple, but I`m making my endsSee I don`t trip on a punk cause I jack himToo $hort plus the cuss words equals platinumWhat would I look like dancing on a stageI wave my hand and do it like the old daysBut some dumb fool want to take it out of handWith 50 million dancers and a big old bandThat ain`t me, I`m from the old schoolPlay the instrumental, get the mic and I`m coolCause I`m an Oaktown mack and it`s like that, soIt all comes out in my records and my stage showIn my category I`m the one and onlyAnd I`m a stay short but funkyHey yo, that`s itBaby JesusDog baby from the Dangerous Crew
