Too Short - I Want to Be Free слова песни

You think oakland california is a city of punksIt only takes a second, to pop the trunkAnd just like that you know its realYoure in the right damn town to get killedIts all about the game, and nothin elseYou come out here, you better watch yourselfCause you can wear what you want, even blue or redBut cross the wrong brothers, and end up deadYou catch a body full of bullets, and get blastedTryin to be a gangsta but you just aint lastinThis little town is gettin wild as hellCheck the penetentiaries and all the jailsIf they could lock us all up that would be just fineGot my partners from oakland doin serious timeYou cant argue with the truth its hard to be blackBut its a mindgame, and you gotta deal with thatI wake up everyday and I just cant waitTo make mo money, cause back in the daysWhen I rapped, I did the same damn thing I do nowGrab the microphone, and show you howBut I was broke, the only thing I had was gameI started makin money and knew things would changeBought a benz, thought it might earn respectBut the opd, found it hard to acceptI got jacked by the task and jacked by the viceFace down on the ground keep my hands in sightPut the handcuffs on backseat Im in itIllegal search for about thirty minutesAskin me, wheres the dopeWheres my gun, but I dont knowI said Im rappin, they laugh like I told a jokeAnd to this day they think Im sellin cokeI want to be free! (and thats the truth) ohhh yeahhhI want to be free! ohhh yeahhhI be in oakland california every day of my lifeBass so hard you think Im smokin a pipeAnd if I dont smoke it, I gots to grindSearched all my stuff, and all you findIs a pocket full of money count seven gsNow you wanna think Im sellin keysCause Im a black man, but I run my own businessSo why the police wanna send me to prisonThey see a brother makin major cashThey knock a patch out his black assAnd thats the truth, you cant argue you at allTryin to give you ten years for a phone callAint even trippin on the dank smokeCause all they wanna find, is guns and cokeIn court all the time tryin to fight itWe get rich, we get indeibtedSo whats the problem officer this time? Is havin big money bein black a crime? Or did you take me to jail, to teach me a lessonCharge me with somethin, or just ask questionsAbout the brothers I hang aroundWhats really goin on in the oakland townTell me who went broke, and who got richBut too $hort baby just aint no snitchYou say youre just doin your jobBut youre gettin on my nerves, just like bobEverytime I hit a corner, I see youAlways tellin brothers what to doYou lock me up cause I dont know how to actBut Im down for mine so I be talkin backAnd when I do, you treat me bad as hellIm sick of spendin nights in jailI want to be free! (and thats the truth) ohhh yeahhhI want to be free! ohhh yeahhhGot out of jail about fo-fifteenWalkin down the street like a broke dopefiendHad a pocket full of money tryin to play the roleBenz got towed and I was hella coldBut I aint trippin, Im gettin used to it nowHandcuffed your boy took me straight downtownFor three warrants, had to catch me sooner or laterCause the five-ohs always tryin to jack a playaFor no reason, wasnt doin nothin wrongYou think Im lyin, singin that same ol songWell Im a black man, ridin in a benzHow in the hell did I make these ends? here we goI pull over to the rightStop the engine keep my hands in sightI start cursin, cause it dont make senseWhy would I run and try to jump a fenceIf I was plannin, a smooth getawayI never woulda stopped in the first placeYoud be high speed chasin me but this time you aintCause all I got on me is a big fat bankAnd I hope I dont get robbed by you know whoMake me donate some gs to the boys in blueAnd if I sue, I wont get nothin backBut I aint mad... Im just black...I want to be free! ohhh yeahhhI want to be free! ohhh yeahhhI want to be free! ohhh yeahhhI want to be free! ohhh yeahhh
