Tricky - Bad Dream слова песни

This is a matter of utmost urgencyYou might even call it a police emergencySuckers got ill when they finally heard the gWasnt sellin out, they tried to murder meReached for my jammy like a troops supposed to doNever let a sucker get too close to youHeard em comin, ducked behind the wallThen saw the whites of his eyes, the first one had to fallAnother bug creeped up the fire escapeTrying to sneak, I guess he snuck too lateLookin like a scene from real life viceThe way his head fell apart like a block of solid iceUzi does it, come to think of itDude had a nine, but his wasnt as fast as mineI heard the phone ring, should I answer? This is gettin serious as terminal cancerAnd that is the final stage, my primal rageBegan to rise and I started to fantasizeHow many more might try to rush the doorAnd blast their way in, hell, I aint stayinI opened the back door and felt the summer night heatSaw a bunch of bugs wearin white sheetsWhat else could it mean? I know it aint halloweenThe cross in the background burnin made a ill sceneFirst I was panicky, then I was angryOne creep even had a rope ready to hang meNow who am I supposed to be? eddie spaghetti? You come and vic rob g any time youre ready? Fuck that, they had me trapped so I rushed backThey tried to bust me but they dont have enough capsI dipped, dived, slipped, slid, they missed meI had to move quick or they was bound to get meOne bullet grazed me, that didnt phase meWhat could I say? I was havin a fucked up dayStood up and took aim, my finger on the triggerI shouted "now let me hear you say nigger!"Well anyway, nobody spoke or went for brokeThe place was all clouded up from gunsmokeAnd everything got quiet, I dont buy itJust a second ago we had a riotThey must be plannin attack or settin a trapWhatever the case you wont get this blackNow Im on the edge and theres no denyin itWhatever the hell might work Im tryin itThought I was a target that they could get right quickBut I aint goin out like no statisticAnother number, made me wonderHow many other brothers theyve put underI sat in the dark real still for a long timeDidnt make a sound cos Ive got a strong mindMade my way to the street, it was daybreakMustve fallen asleep, but for petes sakeI didnt see the enemy tryin to put an end to meThe night before, my finger trigger was soreI went in the house to get a fresh clipAnd then I woke up an shit...(its a bad dream, man. thats all, man, you know what Im sayin? Guess I was just buggin or somethin, man...)
