They Might Be Giants - Memo To Human Resources
Artist: They Might Be Giants
Song: Memo to Human Resources
Album: Indestructable Object (E.p.)
Verse 1:
C E
I'll be in the back
G
And I don't need the help
C E
I'm good here in the back
G
I'm good here by myself
C E G
I'm good here taking stock of all the things that I've forgot
C E G C E
And making mental notes of just exactly where I lost the plot
Verse 2:
I hung around too long
feeling sorry for myself
A dsinvited guest
rifiles through the bathroom shelf
I'm searching for some disbelief that i can still suspend
But nevermind the furthermore-the plea is self-defense again
Chorus: (Same chords as verse)
Then the people came to talk me down
And I got some advice
Then the people came to talk me down
But I don't need advice-I'm down
Verse 3:
Later in my car
I considered what you said
I'm good here in my car
I'm good with what you said
And I'd be shouting out to you but I was mighty hoarse
With finer points and issues much too small to force
Chorus:
Then the people came to talk me down
And I got some advice
Then the people came to talk me down
But I don't need advice-I'm down
