A# C#
Father, tell me somethin'
A B A#
where do bad men go when they die?
C# A
and mother says you'll go there but
B A# C#
wings for her and I. And I don't mind
A B ring
Cause I have always wanted to learn to...
Chorus:
F# G#
Fly... learn to
F# G#
Fly... learn to
F# G#
Fly... learn to
A B ring
Fly...
Vers:
A# C#
Brother, tell me somethin'
A B A#
If I take this, am I going to die?
C# A B
And he says no, so then I figure what the hell
A# C#
I'll try cause it's my life
A B ring
So light the match and you and I will...
Chorus:
F# G#
Fly... learn to
F# G#
Fly... learn to
F# G#
Fly... learn to
A B
Fly...
F# G# A B F#
Cause I'm on my hands and knees I've crawled eternity to beg forgiveness
G# A B F#
And someday I'll be there I swear to you, God as my witness
G# A B F#
For all the trusts I've broke and, let justice know, it's just that easy
G# A B ring
Cause I'm a liar, I conspired, I'm a liar...
A# C# A B
Vers:
A# C#
And father tell your son,
A B
It's not your gun and bloody hands
A# C#
Don't hide behind locked doors
A B ring
In dresser drawers those bullets wait to fly...
Chorus:
F# G#
Fly... wait to
F# G#
Fly... wait to
F# G#
Fly... wait to
A B ring
The „punch" (is it really called punch? Dunno, I mean the way you hit the strings)
is a bit tricky, I play it like this:
D / U u D <- which means: d = down eigth D = down quarter
u = Up eigth U = Up quarter
/ = mute
Quarter or eigth means the length of the note.
and in my opinion it sounds pretty right...
have phun, yours chrisi_online@gmx.ch
