Информация о артисте

The Color Changin Click (CCC) was a Houston hip hop group, formed in 1997 by Chamillionaire and 50/50 Twin. Paul Wall was then added to the roster, and the duo of him and Chamillionaire quickly became the driving force behind the group, both musically and on the marketing side. They managed to land a promotional job with Swishahouse, and in 2001, with the new members Lew Hawk, Rasaq and Yung Ro, they released their first mixtape called Ace Ventura. It consisted of freestyles over popular beats, as well as chopped and screwed hit tracks like Izzo (H.O.V.A.), screwed by Micheal 5000 Watts of Swishahouse.

Their following projects focused more on the rappers, and consisted of exclusively original vocals. A lot of the tracks were still screwed by Micheal Watts though, and so their mixtapes evolved from following the Dj Screw formula, to something innovative.

After several disputes between Paul Wall and Chamillionaire, they eventually fell out, which caused the group to break up. Paul went back to Swishahouse, while Chamillionaire started up the label Chamilitary.

CCC is now cemented as one of the most important Houston groups. They helped to launch Swishahouse, and both Paul Wall and Chamillionaire moved on to establish two of the biggest solo careers based from Houston. Both of them were involved in Still Tippin, the single that put Houston on the map and stated its identity to the world. Read more on Last.fm.
