Kiko Rodriguez, was born in Tamboril, Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic. From the age of 10 years, Kiko Rodriguez felt that the music, in this case the bachata or music of the bittered, touched the heart of him, which motivated the youngster to practice with percussion instruments, although after that he was interested in the guitar, that later accompanied him in his songs.

He made his first presentation when he was 12 years of age, which opened the doors to which is today the successful carreer of Kiko Rodriguez. A carreer in wich a then very young Kiko, felt all desire and the necessity to help his family on behalve of the music that humbly he interpreted.

Much later, Kiko enters to the rondallita of the parish of Canca Arriba, Tamboril, where he was for about six years.Throughout that time Kiko could mature musically speaking, since in that space of time, Kiko, next to a group of friends and relatives, planned the formacion of a musical grouping. After having made specific the idea to form a grouping, Kiko made his debut with "Los Modernos Del Amargue", set in which Kiko stood out much by its unic style to express the feelings through the music of the bittered (Bachata).

The discografica company Elvin Productions/Discomania was interested in the artist and decided to sign him to record his first album, which is titled Kiko Rodriguez y los Claveles Mios, this album contains the songs: "El Verde De Tus Ojos" "Ya Te Olvidé", songs that marked the hitlist of Kiko, as he interprets Bachata. "Epidemia De Amor", is titled the second musical production of Kiko Rodriguez and "Sentimientos y Mas", is third, in which the songs are reflected: "Que Vuelva", "Me Tienes Loco", "Se Cambiaron Los Papeles", Etc.
