(Thanatopsis was a California Bay Area progressive thrash-death metal band from the early 90's. Influenced by bands like Death, Pestilence, Cynic, Atheist, Morbid Angel, and also jazz. Thanatopsis was extremely original and also under rated. They were never signed because of the vacuum that existed in the Bay Area after the end of the thrash era.
