Aaria was a pop band from New Zealand formed in 2000. The band consisted of Hayden Weke, Amomai Pihama, Hemi Peke, Te Rau o te Rangi Winterburn and Tomairangi Mareikura
The Aaria concept started in November 2000 when the search began to locate talented, positive young Māori language speaking role models who could sing as well as converse in Te Reo Maori.
Aaria had 2 New Zealand charting singles that both made it into the the top 20. The first single, released in 2001, was "Kei A Wai Ra Te Kupu". It stayed 12 weeks on the charts and peaked at 14th.
