Информация о артисте

Richard Blackwood (born 15 May 1972, Clapham, London, England) is a British gangster rapper, television personality, crime novelist, magician, sometime actor and MC of Jamaican origin.
Richard currently presents his critically aclaimed show "RB's Sunday School" on the London radio station, Choice FM. RB guests as a disc jockey at nightclubs throughout the United Kingdom.

Blackwood appeared on Brass Eye in 2001, during which he was tricked into saying that internet paedophiles can make computer keyboards emit noxious fumes in order to subdue children (Blackwood even sniffed a keyboard and claimed to be able to smell the fumes, which he said made him feel "suggestible"). He was also duped to appear on a song for the show, 'Stay Away From The Guy With The Funny Eye' (Dj Bob Hoskinz). Strangely this is currently the last song he ever performed on.

In 2003 Blackwood had his Isle of Dogs home repossessed and declared himself bankrupt. He was reportedly often heckled with the phrase "Oi Blackwood, you're BANKRUPT SUNSHINE!" by passers-by on the street. The culmination of this was an incident in which Blackwood placed a gun to his head, but was then restrained by his girlfriend.

In spite of recent troubles, he is experiencing a minor resurgence, as a guest at Students' Unions and has plans to enter the music scene once again under the alias R. Biddy, a direct reference to his idol, P.Diddy.

In 2008, Richard Blacwood formed a series of 'Real Talk' Seminars (in association with Choice FM, Kiss 100 and The Police) with topical discussions which affect the youth, and focus' on educating the youth of today. Topics include Gun and Knife crime. These seminars are held once a month. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
