Pilot - шотландская поп/рок-группа, сформированная в 1973 году в Эдинбурге бывшими участниками известной группы Bay City Rollers Дэвидом Пэтоном (David Paton) и Билли Льяллом (Billy Lyall). К группе присоединились также Stuart Tosh и Ian Bairnson.
Группа сделала несколько записей в 1973 и 1974 гг. Сингл 1974 г. "Magic" был продан "золотым" тиражом (более 1 млн.экз.), став в итоге №5 в США и №11 в Великобритании. Последующая за этим композиция " "January" стала лидером хит-парада Великобритании в январе 1975 г. В дальнейшем, группе не удавалось попасть в top30 национальных хит-парадов.
К 1977 году в группе из первоначального состава оставались только Пэтон и Бэрнсон, которые записали заключительный альбом Pilot "Two's a Crowd". В 1978 году все участники из оригинального состава занялись другими проектами: Tosh, Paton и Bairnson стали участниками Alan Parsons Project, Стюарт Тош также работал в 10cc.
