There are several artists under this name.

1.Swingers were a relatively short-lived New Zealand band whose members included Phil Judd, formerly of Split Enz, and Bones Hillman, who later went on to play for Midnight Oil. Swingers are best remembered for Counting The Beat, a catchy pop-rock hit on both sides of the Tasman Sea. Other releases failed to replicate the success of Counting The Beat.

2.Music band “SWINGERS” was formed in Zagreb, capital of Croatia.
The founder and the bandleader is Robert Mareković, singer of, in its days, very popular rock and roll band called “Fantomi”. They had their first performance in club “Tvornica” in Zagreb and this one was succeeded by many others in the country. Playing great music made them famous abroad and so far they have performed on important stages in Slovenia, Austria and Germany.
Those who still haven’t seen them live had a lot of opportunities to see them in TV shows and video clips.
The first full-length album, “REWIND”, followed in October of 2005. “REWIND” was a cross section of the group's work over the years, and with covers of well-known standards in Italian and English, it also featured two songs in Croatian language.
In the summer of 2006, the Swingers started working on a duet with mr. Ivo Robić, the very first posthumous duet in Croatia. In 1998. Robert Mareković recorded a duet with mr. Robić for the song “Jabuke i trešnje”, but wasn't satisfied with the performance and the arrangements. After the death of Ivo Robić on March 9, 2000, the group started working on the earlier recording, and by making use of new technologies, incorporated the vocal of Ivo Robić in the new version of song.
The single “Jabuke i trešnje” was released in October of 2006. Supported by their most ambitious video to date, the single reached all major charts and was often played on TV. With `SWINGERS` carrying out the larger part of the project, the album comprises all major hits of Ivo Robić. The release of the album „Samo jednom se ljubi“ – Tribute to Ivo Robić was announced at the press conference held at the Zagreb City Museum, on May 25th 2007.
The album features two songs by the Swingers - a previously released single „Jabuke i trešnje“ feat Ivo Robić and „Autobus Calypso“.
The Swingers also accompany some of the biggest Croatian artists in five other songs: Oliver Dragojević with the song „Samo jednom se ljubi“, Ivana and Marija Husar with „Reci da me voliš (mucho, mucho, mucho) “, Nina Badrić with „Tiho plove moje čežnje“, Tedi Spalato with „Moje plavo more“, and a promising new artist Ivana Starčević with the song „Ta tvoja ruka mala“.
On October 29 2007, a concert organized by Aquarius Records, Croatian Radio Television and the Swingers was held at Tvornica kulture in Zagreb, to promote the album Samo jednom se ljubi – Tribute to Ivo Robić. An enthusiastic, packed house greeted many artists the album featured. The Swingers played with their extended band, accompanied by a 14 piece string section of the Croatian Radio Television orchestra. The concert was hosted by Mirko Fodor and Robert Mareković, and broadcast live on Croatian Radio Television, channel Plus. The concert was also broadcasted on CRT channel 2 and radio.
At 15th annual Porin awards ceremony, the "Swingers" won the award in one of the most prestigious categories - the best pop-album of the year. The award was received by the frontman of the "Swingers", Robert Mareković.
On August 24, 2008, the Stray Cats played in Munich as a part of their goodbye tour and Robert Mareković finally got to meet his idol, the leader Brian Setzer. The meeting took place at the Bayerischer Hof Hotel, a familiar performance venue for the Swingers. For the tenth time in a row, the Swingers will perform there at this New Year's Eve Party.
On June 22 2008, the Swingers performed in Nove Zamky, Slovakia, supporting the Gypsy Kings .
The concert given by Swingers on 12 June 2008 in Geneva, as a part of the official programme of the European Football Championship, was recorded by the Switzerland's National Radio, and the Italian, Swedish and Bulgarian radios purchased the rights to broadcast. The concert is also soon to be broadcast on the second Croatian radio channel HR2.
After their last, Porin 2008 winning Samo jednom se ljubi, the Swingers released their fourth album titled Ljubav i moda (Love and fashion) on April 15 2009, Ljubav i moda is dedicated to Croatian and Yugoslav hits of the 1960's, such as Osmijeh, Prolazi sve, Vino i gitare, Krovovi, etc. and gathers many renowned Croatian artists such as Tedi Spalato, Davor Gobac, Gabi Novak, Marko Tolja, Mirko Fodor etc.
