From Washington State comes the haunting, creepily exhilarating artist nondescriptly known as Not Applicable. This one-woman band (Courtnee Fallon Papastathis) possessed the unique ability to virtually freeze time with her moving, highly emotional ambient landscapes, combining dreamy tones with an unforgettably beautiful voice.
Not Applicable is an unsigned artist, formerly noted as "One of MP3.com's fastest rising electronic allstars" after the release of the stand-out track Infinite Reality in 1999. Not Applicable went on to release two albums through mp3.com - Point of Origin in 2000, and Altercations in 2001. Both albums are no longer available on CD after the site's unfortunate demise.
Not Applicables' music is available at the bands website, http://notapplicable.info. In addition to the two previously released albums, many single tracks never cut to an album are available, as well as highly personal and very old covers from the artists infancy.
Courtnee has provided guest vocals for Dreamtraveler (Structure, Headpusher) and Scribe Machine (Fragile). Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
