Integra, aka Matthew Heim was born on September 8th 1978 in Milwaukee WI USA. He was always attracted to music since early on in life. He played violen in his younger years, and also did many years of choir. Continuing on with music he now is learning to play piano, and in the future will venture on and keep learning new instruments. In 1999 he was finally introduced to electronic music by long time friend Darkside9878 by taking him to his first local rave. At that time he knew instanley what had been missing musicaly in his life, and knew exactly where it was going to go from there. There realy wasn't any experiment with genre. As soon as he heard the sound of tekno that there wasn't anything else to him.Tekno was all he wanted, and he wanted it harder and faster. So in 2000 he bought his first decks, and some tekno vinyl. After dj'n for a year and half him and his partner darkside 9878 decided it was time to take it to the next level and start producing. To distinguish their own style and sound they decided that hardware was going to be their weapon of production. Starting with the original Roland TR 909, they started building from the ground up.From there other old analog machines followed such as the TR 606, TB 303, Jp 8080, and a Juno 106.Mainly constucting the studio to consist of mostly analog gear to capture a unique sound that would give their productions originality. So armed and ready Integra and Darkside will continue to produce and dj down right dark hard tekno..Soon out will be their first vinyl release on Darkforce Recordings.Summer of 2007 Integra and Darkside will hopefully feature their own label. Featuring some other new artists from the United States, and around the world. Read more on Last.fm.
