Kathryn Tingey started playing the guitar her senior year of high school. She has always been musical, but it was like she found a part of her that had been missing when she picked up the guitar. She wanted to accompany herself and write her own music and the guitar was a perfect tool. Attending Utah State University helped her hone her skills as she earned a BA in Music Guitar Performance. While at college she wrote and recorded her second album, Raining Autumn. Kathryn is from Centerville, Utah and currently resides in Orem, Utah where she works for Northwestern Mutual. As she has evolved so has her music. She has written in many different styles including, jazz, alternative, indie, and soft rock. She is recording her third album of all original music and is hoping to have it completed November of 2008. Kathryn has been writing her own music for most of her life. It has reached a more professional level in the last five years, and her love of performance has soared. She loves to play on stage and share her passion for life through her music.
