1) Like a diamond in the ruff, Wish, a talented solo artist from Baltimore, Maryland is finally here to conquer. Although her journey has been long and hard, Wish’s determination has finally placed her in the spotlight. Her unique style and piercing alto are one of the remnants of her ever-changing story.It all began when she was only 7 years old. As a little girl, Wish belonged to her church choir commonly visited by her family and neighborhood friends. A first attempt to grab the mic transformed into a developing passion and appreciation for music that would eventually change her life. The talented discovery was the platform for local performances in her church, school and neighborhood events, as well as in talent and fashion shows…Often described as a “high pitched raspy alto”, Wish’s conviction canbe felt as she interprets every one of her lyrics from the bottom of her soul. Growing up, she studied some of her favorite artists such as: Mary J. Blige, Chaka Khan, Queen, Mariah and Beyonce. It was these artists’ epitome of “feeling” and a sincere conveying of emotion that Wish truly admired and could therefore relate to…Skool Gurl Diaries is Wish’s first solo attempt, after donning in two girl groups. The experience of sharing the stage with others was immeasurably valuable, prepping her enough to stand on her very own. Now in New Jersey, the solo sensation is putting the finishing touches on her album with the help of best friend and songwriter Donny Roc who has written all songs on the album except for two. .The strong chemistry between Wish and Donny allowed them to record a plethora of songs of which 15 were chosen by the two to be in the album. Wish’s unique sound makes it difficult to place her in a music genre. Skool Gurl Diaries contains a fusion of R&B/Alternative music mixed in with some Pop ballads…Skool Gurl Diaries is a memorable compilation of melodies, brilliant harmonies, attacking vocals & ad libs. It is a collection of relatable short stories we have all experienced at some point in our lives. Loosely based on the “School Girl” mantra, each character Wish portrays in her album has her own story to tell. Having experienced herself the difficulties of being a young adolescent, she speaks to those who find it difficult to interpret and express their feelings. Whether she is speaking to cheerleaders, nerds, the prom queen or even the everyday chick, Wish advices her listeners not to feel wrong for feeling a certain way or being different. In her melodies, her audience can truly discover and be a part of her most intimate and deep thoughts

3).Wish is a project of Bart Smits (member of The Gathering in 1989-1992). Debut album Monochrome (1995) didn’t gain much popularity, but is considered a rare underground classic by some fans. Its genre may be described as post doom or gothic rock.
