This City Awaits is a unique, alternative rock group, which, having formed in March 2010, has accomplished many career-changing goals that bands set for themselves. In May 2010, This City Awaits began playing live shows and sharing the stage with notable bands such as Spoken, Skillet, House of Heroes, etc., Later that year they started writing and recording their debut album "Code Red: Urgency" at Middle Coast Studios with their producer, Nathan Ivey. The album will then be successfully released on Itunes on June 7th, 2011, and since finishing the work for the album, they have been on tour promoting themselves at local and regional shows, capturing the attentions of such magazines as HM, Outburn, and The Shorthorn. She has been a part of multiple ensembles and also a member of Crowley drumline, where she played lead snare her senior year. Along with being a member of This City Awaits, she continues to be actively involved with her Church group's worship team on a weekly basis. She desires to be an example to others by demonstrating integrity and pursuing her passion for music. Micah Ulibarri's Story: Micah began learning the bass years ago from his father and has since enjoyed countless performances. He was introduced to This City Awaits by lead singer Phillip Ivey, after having left his slot as a rhythm guitarist for a hard rock band. It is his love and passion for music that allows the positive, overwhelming bass composition to come to life. Micah has been a believer since a young age and even served time in Africa as a missionary. He continues to give his voice to God for his musical talents. Phillip Ivey's Story: Phillip began writing and composing his own songs in 2004. His influences from music range over many different genres, but he finds things to write about from personal to non-personal situations in his life and the lives of others.
