BIO:
Indie rock band Mass Solo Revolt was formed in Athens, GA, by Martin Brummeler (guitar, vocals). Brummeler eventually added long time friend and musical collaborator, James Frye (bass). Both had moved to Athens from Ypsilanti, MI, where their previous bands, Data Cadet (Westside) and Propeller (Makoto Recordings), had released records. Their bands were legendary for their intense, incredibly tight live performances of smart, inventive post-rock songs which laid the ground work for what Mass Solo Revolt has become.


By the time of the critically lauded, self-released second album, Easy Mark, released on July 1, 2008, the group consisted of Brummeler, Frye, Derek Burdette (guitar, keyboards), and Russ Sherman (drums). With this release, Mass Solo Revolt saw national recognition in the press, including a spotlight on NPR as well as getting added into rotation on college radio.


On Bend In Time, Mass Solo Revolt's newest release, Feb. 10', on Hop-Skip records, Mass Solo Revolt replaced Burdette with David Harrison on guitar and keys. The Band and critics alike, hail Bend In Time as the bands most creative and precise work to date.


Mass Solo Revolt is actively playing shows and touring.
