The Glitterati - британские представители хард-рока. Группа была основана в 2003 году, в городе Лидс. Основателями группы явлються Пол Гатри, Джон Эмсли и Билл Джеймс, которые играли вместе в течении нескольких лет до The Glitterati. Позже к ним присоединился Ник Делсон.
В 2004 году они выпускают свой первый ЕР под названием "Here Comes Close Up", который не смотря на то, что вышел ограниченным количеством, все таки был распродан и принес группе первую известность.
25 апреля 2005 года увидел свет дебютный альбом, который получил название группы - "The Glitterati". Альбом записывался в сотрудничестве с Майком Клинком, который ранее был известен работой с Guns N 'Roses и Metallica. Процесс записи проходил в Лос-Анджелесе , после чего группа вернулась в Британию и отправилась в тур под названием "Back In Power".
Летом 2005 года The Glitterati много гастролируют. Они выступают на таких известных фестивалях как T in the Park, Download Festival, что приносит им новых поклонников по всей стране.
В 2009 году группа приступает за работу над вторым студийником - "Are You One Of Us?". Осенью того же года в свободном доступе появляется сингл из альбома - "Fight Fight Fight". Сам альбом выходит в мае 2010 года, и сразу же получает положительные отзывы от музыкальной прессы. Но во время записи альбома из-за конфликтов с менеджерами группы, коллектив покидает гитарист Джон Эмсли.
В июне 2010 года выходит второй сингл из альбома - "Overnight Superstar".
Группу покидают еще 2 основных участника: Джейми Снел и Ник Денсон. На их места были приглашены другие музыканты, но это не спасло группу от распада.
После выхода второго альбома группа официально прекращает свое существование.

The Glitterati are an English Hard rock band from Leeds who are primarily based in London. The Band are currently signed with the DR2 Records/Global Music.
In 2004 the band released the limited EP 'Here Comes A Close Up'. Despite not making the UK singles chart, the release sold out.
The band released their debut album The Glitterati on 25 April 2005. The Album was produced by the legendary Mike Clink who had worked with bands such as Guns N' Roses on Appetite For Destruction, Use Your Illusion I and Use Your Illusion II and Metallica on tracks from the album Garage Inc.. The album was recorded in a Los Angeles studio. This was followed by the extensive Back In Power tour of the UK.
Early 2005 the band broke into the top 40 singles chart with their single You Got Nothing On Me, their next single did not make it so high in the charts and just made it into the top 75 with Back In Power.
Over the summer of 2005 The Gliterati played some major festivals in the United Kingdom such as "T in The Park" and Download Festival at Donnington Park. This has earned the band a big fanbase across the country.
The Band can be compared greatly to rivals Towers of London and have a sound and style very similar to Velvet Revolver style with their raunchy lyrics, heavy riffs and general appearance.
As of early 2006, The Glitterati is in the process of making their second album.
The Glitterati replaced 2 members of the band, Bass player now known as BAZ and Rythem Guitar now known as GAFF.
As of early 2009, The Glitterati is in the process of recording their second album with producer Matt Hyde (also known for his work with Gallows, Acroama, Trivium and Slipknot).
In September 2009 The Glitterati signed a worldwide record deal with DR2 Records/Global a subdivision of the hugely succesful Demolition Records.
The Glitterati will release the first single from their 2nd album in November 2009 and will be announcing a release date for the album shortly
