Eddy Jose Herrera de los Rios, also known as Eddy Herrera, is a merengue singer and winner of more than seven Casandra Awards. Born on April 30, 1964 in the Dominican Republic, in the city of Santiago de Los Caballeros.
History
He started in music at the age of nine when he began to use a guitar and receive classes from a music teacher. Eddy Herrera work with his talent and began to participate in various contests of skill music, among which are the Festival of the Voice of Santiago, where he won second place just 15 years old. At 17 became champion.
He entered the Pontifical University, Catholic University Madre y Maestra to study architecture, only lasted two and a half years due to be presented with the opportunity to work in the grouping of Mr. Wilfrido Vargas and gladly accepted no matter what their mother disagreed.
His first international success was titled "El jardinero", which was launched three months after having joined the grouping musical Wilfrido Vargas. He stayed in that group from 1984 to 1990, when it was launched as a soloist under the label MP records. Their second album recorded a year later, the title of the album was "Mi more" under the same label.
Later he changed his record company records MP J & N Records to launch the album "Ámame," from then on, all his records have come under the same label.
