Some scrobbling of "Que Pasa" is for the Rochester, NY indie rock band, formed in 2005 and comprised of Alex Goldberg (drums), Robert Drury (lead guitar), Nick Baish (Audio Manipulation), John McCartney (rhythm guitar, vocals), and Adam Maid (bass). The band was most commonly known as a 'Kingsboro band' - one of the few bands that had been born in the basement of The Fashionistas' house in the 19th Ward of Rochester. In their brief period of activity (a little over a year), Que Pasa recorded only one EP, titled "Print is Dead". They performed around Rochester, NY and most notably in New York City, where they opened for Mynah, Que Pasa's chief influence. Que Pasa had several original songs outside of their EP, but covers of Pavement, Oasis, and The Brian Jonestown Massacre songs helped push their popularity.
The band broke up in 2006. Within the next year, John McCartney joined Organ Blues in Philadelphia. Alex Goldberg joined the Brooklyn band Graphics. Robert Drury and Nick Baish formed Orion STO in Rochester, NY. You can find more information at their myspace page (http://www.myspace.com/quepasamusic).
There is also a popular Dutch ska-punk band named ¿Qué Pasa?
All aforementioned artists may happen to appear with question marks.... as "¿Qué Pasa?" is Spanish for "What is happening?" or "What's up?" Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
