Sara Paxton (born April 25, 1988) is an American actress, model and singer. She grew up in California and began acting at an early age, appearing in many minor roles in both films and television shows, before coming to wider renown in 2004, after playing the title role in the series Darcy's Wild Life and Sarah Borden in Summerland. Sara Paxton is one of Hollywood’s hot young stars and is taking the entertainment industry by storm. She has received rave reviews for her performances and her uncanny sense of comic timing. She is deemed “a positive role model for impressionable daughters.”
Sara began acting at the age of six and has racked up an impressive list of film, television and commercial credits. Most recently, Sara was seen in the made-for-television original Lifetime movie The Party Never Stops: Diary of a Binge Drinker, and was featured in an edition of MTV Cribs.
Upon the release of the tween sensation feature film Aquamarine in early 2006—in which she starred as the lovable mermaid—Sara began filming the fourth installment of Disney’s Return to Halloweentown, which was released later in the year. Her other television credits include the weekly Discovery Kids’ series Darcy’s Wild Life and guest-starring roles on CSI, Passions, Lizzie McGuire, Will & Grace, Pepper Dennis, Summerland, Malcolm in the Middle, Quintuplets and Greetings from Tucson. She also voiced several characters on the popular animated series, SpongeBob SquarePants.
Sara landed her first film role at age eight in the theatrical film Liar Liar, opposite Jim Carrey. Her other film credits include Joe Nussbaum’s Sleepover, Soldier, Haunted Lighthouse, Starship Troopers and Music from Another Room.
In addition to acting, Sara is also a singer, releasing a single titled “Here We Go Again” on Epic Records.
