Название группы музыканты связывают с героем популярного романа Паланика "Бойцовский клуб".
Выпустив в 2003 и 2004 годах по привлекательному EP, в 2006 Forgive Durden выстрелили своим первым лонг-плейем Wonderland. В то время в составе группы были Томас Даттон (вокал,гитара), Томас Хантер (гитара), Энди Маннино (ударные) и Джесси Байер (бас).
В январе 2008 Томас Даттон в своем блоге сообщил, что остальные три музыканта покинули группу. В этом же году он вместе со своим братом Полом и барабанщиком Gatsbys American Dream Руди Гаядаром записывает очередной альбом Razia's Shadow: A Musical. В записи приняли участие музыканты из таких коллективов как You, Me, And Everyone We Know , Panic at the Disco, Men, Women & Children и другие хорошие ребята.

Forgive Durden is an indie rock band from Bellevue, Washington formed in 2003.
On January 27, 2008, lead singer Thomas Dutton announced on the band's blog that the other 3 members had decided to leave the band, citing personality conflicts as the primary reason. The next album released under the band's name was Razia's Shadow: A Musical. The album was conceived by Thomas Dutton and co-written by his brother Paul. The album also features Rudy Gajadhar of Gatsbys American Dream on drums. It is a musical featuring members of popular bands such as Say Anything, The Hush Sound, An Angle, The Dear Hunter, This Providence, The Matches, Saves the Day and Panic at the Disco, among others. They released an EP in the fall of 2004 titled "When You're Alone, You're Not Alone" independently.

Noted for an energetic live show, the finale of which is a rendition of the song "Il Tango Della Signora Francesco Di Bartolommeo Di Zanobi Del Giocondo" which involves the entire band, often accompanied by one or more of the members from other bands on tour with them, drumming at the same time.
