In 2008, five young men from Saginaw, Michigan decided to start an emo band. They didn't think it would matter that emo hadn't been relevant for the past 5 years. They were originally called "The Masengills" but Proctor/Gamble threatened to sue their parents and, with graduation money on the line, they relented and changed the name of the band to "Far From Heroes", a shout out to the television show that each member watched with a fervor bordering on religious. Unfortunately, the band is no more, with the vocalist and drummer going away to community college and the bassist getting a job in landscaping. But oh, what we had when we had them.....
