The Lone Star Ridaz features many of the rappers (such as, South Park Mexican, Baby Bash, Max Minelli, Rasheed and Merciless AKA Merc100Man) affiliated with Dope House Records, a Houston-based rap label, as well as producer Happy Perez, a prolific and multi-platinum producer also from H-Town. The Texas supergroup debuted in 1999 with a self-titled album and returned quickly afterward with two follow-ups, Wanted (2001) and 40 Dayz/40 Nightz (2002), both of which arrived with accompanying chopped & screwed versions, just as the group's debut had.
