The Perceptionists are an American hip-hop group from Boston, Massachusetts. They are signed to Definitive Jux. The trio consists of Fakts One (DJ), Akrobatik and Mr. Lif.
The group is known for their socially conscious lyrics. Their first album, "Black Dialogue" came out on March 23, 2005 and featured the single "Memorial Day", which was heavily critical of the war in Iraq. The album also featured guest spots from Shock G aka Humpty Hump from Digital Underground and Guru from Gang Starr.
