Dj Quik - Jus Lyke Compton слова песни

Finally out the motherfuckin C-P-TOff to other cities and shitNo longer just an underground hitMovin thangs... a local nigga made goodAnd made a name off of making tapes for niggaz in the hoodAnd now, let me tell a little storyAbout the places that I been to and the shit that I been throughLike fightin and shootouts and bangin and shitAll because a nigga made a hit, check itNineteen-ninety-one, it was double or nothin that a nigga would hitThen we broke out with the fonky shitAbout bitches and niggaz and gettin drunken off that budI was doing the shit they hadn`t heard ofBut foolish was I to think that it wasn`t no other cities like thisAnd that they didn`t like thisThat Compton was the home of a foot in yo assWhere you got blastAnd now that`s just a thing of the pastLet me tell ya why firsthand, we did a show up in Oak-landAnd niggaz was kickin up sand, to them bangin ain`t nothin newAnd slangin ain`t nothin newAnd for every nigga we done shotThey done shot twoStraight through and on since the sixties before I was bornFamilies of young niggaz mournSo I`m just letting you knowThat if ya plan to take a trip to the bayKeep your hand on the clipBecaue Oakland... Yeah, I`m telling y`all Oakland... Moving on to St. Louis, where thecountry is fuckedWith gold teeth int hey mouth, but they still know what`s upWhere it`s hot as a motherfuckerHot enough to make ya cussThat`s why I kept my ass on the busBut later on, whenit cooled off we came downand met a couple of friendsWho put us up on the St. Louis capThe Smith Center, with Big Bob, Little Steve, Tojo, Biss and Richand a couple of bitchesThen they took us to a man named Gus in a storeHe put me down with a herringbone and shoes galoreThat`s when I started thinking that this wasn`t like homeBut then they had to prove me wrongCuz later that night after we did the showWe went back to the afterset, and wouldn`t ya knowYeah, Bloods and Crips start scrappin and shootin -- in Missouri?Damn, how could this happen? Now St. Louis... Yeah y`all, St. Louis... I don`t think they know, they too crazy for their own goodThey need to stop watchin that "Colors" and "Boyz in the Hood"Too busy claimin Sixties, tryin to be rawAnd never ever seen the ShawBut now, back to the story that I`m tellinWe packed up the tour bus one more time and started bailinWhen we arrived I saw red and blue sweatsuitsWhen I`m thinkin bout horse dookey and cowboy bootsI guess Texas ain`t no different from the restAnd San Antonio, was just waitin to put us to the testAnd before it was over the shit got deepA nigga got shot in the face, and was dead in the streetThen they came in the club thinkin of scrappinLittle did they know that we was packinYeah, we was puttin em down and squaring the rest, shitI even had to wear the bulletproof vestNow San Antonio... Yeah, San Antonio... After a month on the roadWe came home and I can safely sayThat L.A. is a much better place to stayHow could a bunch of niggaz in a town like thisHave such a big influence on niggaz so far away? But still my story ain`t over cuz I got one more to tellAnd the people of Colorado, they know it wellIt was all in the news and if you don`t rememberI had this show I did in DenverWith a punk ass promoter in a bunk ass skating rinkBitches was loving it, but niggaz was shovin and shitTo the front of the stage to throw their gang signsBut I`m getting paid so I didn`t pay it no mindThen I poured out my brew onto their face and chestthen they start throwin soda, and fuckin up my guestsWhen it was over two niggaz needed stitchesGot cracked in they jaw for being punk ass bitchesNow Denver... Yeah y`all, Denver... And ya know that Oakland... Yeah y`all St. Louis... Uh-huh, San Antonio... Yeah, and Denver... I thought ya knew...
