Illnath - By The Hands Of Violent Winter слова песни

By the hands of violent winter, his fate was sealedCrawling on the icy slopes with limbs frozen coldMemories of untold torture, in his mindWaking from the endless slumber leaving him numbCreeping worms they eat his mindFeelings blind this clouded timeThey took his soul, so they could findThe truthFeeling hate for usurpers gone madReaching in for the power he hadWanting more than he could giveBut they would never falterIn his mind only memories of hatePlanted there by the monger`s of fateReaching out for sanityBut hope is ever fadingLooking for the answerWhy did they do this to me?Leaving me desertedI never asked for this hellReaching out for fires burning, in his eyesHope is still a trusty friend but fires burn lowSnow keeps falling all around him, as he screamsSeemingly the only answer is from the voidDefeated and forsaken, he lies in fields of snowOnly sign of life his eyes, in panic seeking solaceSun, rising highBringing, warmth and energy againWaking up from a steady stateOf suspended animationBlinded by these rays of lightHailing from the skySenses now return to himTribulations feeling dimNow a sordid memoryImpeding doom approachingAs he run, try to shake off the viceNo one hearing his desperate criesThe usurpers are hunting himHounds barking and wolves closing inHis escape was a futile attemptHe is hunted by common consentNow returned to the bleak white cellI hope that dying is the end of this hell[Solo]Looking for the answerWhy are they doing this? What is it I have done?To deserve this living hellBy the violent hands of winter, his fate is sealedDying by the hands of strangers leaving him coldMemories of untold torture still in his mindNever more awakening, this time it`s the endDefeated and forsaken, his peers would not let goThe trial was an endless one, and death did not yet showCome, reap my lifeNow, it`s the time of my departureAfore of him a shadow standsIt`s glowing with eternal might"I am one of many namesAnd one of them is bringer of light"[By the hands of violent winter - Comments][The idea for this lyric came from and old horror-movie, that I can`t remember the name of. But it was about a guy who had his memories shared with those of a cat. He got away from the scientist guys and ran and ran but they caught up with him in the end nevertheless, and all the time he had these flashy images running through his mind that he knew wasn`t his own.I wrote it because I found it a scary though that you were being experimented upon and you could do nothing about it. And in the end dying is not even a relief. The lyric was written together with Tyr, before Narrenschiff joined the band.][- Tobias]
