GI went to the office the next day to see A DWhat bareback horse I had and to pay my fees. GI looked on the list but my name wasn`t found A DI thought Joe might of forgot to put me down. GWell, I looked on the board and I happened to find, A DMy name was on another list, I was in the Bull Riding. GMy knees began to knock and my face began to sweat, A DThen I heaved and gagged on the rodeo office steps. GWell, I may be a fool but a coward I`m not, A DSo I borrowed a bull rope with a bell in the knot. GI walked in the arena with them other bullridin` fools, A DWalked down the chutes, and found my bull. GThen I put my rope in the middle of his back, D GThen had some cowboy pull up the slack, D GThen I wrapped the tail around my hand and back, A DAnd said "Boys, open the gate just a little bitty crack!". GWell, the bull hit the gate with his head A DAnd I could see over his hump that his eyes was red. GHe bailed outta there with a big snort and a beller` A DAnd somethin` inside me told me I was yeller` GThe dust and hair and flies from off his hump, A DDid whisk to my nose as he made another jump. GAnd the stink of it all was more than I could stand, A DSo I jerked my wrap, and opened my hand. GWell, he jumped through air as he made one more turn, A DThat rope slid through my hand it sure did burn. GHe flang me down in a great big heap, A DAnd right in the middle of me he did leap. D(strum once) G(strum once)With his feet on my belly, standing in place, A(strum once) D(strum once)That dirty ole` bull, blew snot in my face. D GWell, them danged ole bulls you can run `em the chutes,D GPut your ropes on them big gallutes, D GBut the closest your gonna find me to their stinkin` hair, A D A DIs to help some other fool get flung in the air.
