Текст песни MC Shan - The Bridge (Album Version)

MC Shan - The Bridge (Album Version) слова песни

You love to hear the story, again and again Of how it all got started way back whenThe monument is right in your faceSit and listen for a while to the name of the place "The Bridge" "Queensbridge"Hip hop was set out in the darkThey used to do it out in the parkEvery place they said his name it rang an alarmOtherwise known as Mean Teen TomA brother who`s known for his rapJabby Jack, Larry Lah, third least not lastA cool brother by the name of GasFace Brothers made you get looseThey was down with the brother called Cousin BruceThey used to jam in the centerYou had to pay so you could enterGo to the door, get friskedJust in order to get inAnd if you wasn`t from this townThen you couldn`t fight and winBut everytime they had a jamThey couldn`t get no peaceSo that`s why the jams out thereIn the parks, they had to ceaseCause you was in "The Bridge" "Queensbridge"Dimples D, the girl, she was greatHer and Marley Marl went and cut a plateThey used to rock it out in the placeAnd the title of it was `Sucker DJ`s`And then he strolled along one dayAnd then he walked into a girl named ShanteThird in line, you know it`s me MC Shan, ha ha, in the place to beMC Man, he made them begHe is the man who is known as CraigThe newest member out to get looseNow he is down with us and he got the JuiceThis is the place where stars are bornAnd we are the only ones that can`t be worn Out by any place, any part of the worldAnd while I`m out on tour keep your hand off my girlWhile she`s in "The Bridge" "Queensbridge"Dead dreams, bought and soldYou gotta try and receive your goalHowever you do it, however you mayDon`t ever listen to what nobody sayCause I will tell you the dealYou gotta go by what your heart feelCause if you don`t, you`ll be misledBy stupid little things put inside your headBy someone else that you will seeThey`re trying to lead your destinyGrab hold of your heavy chainWhich people always pull and always trying to restrainYou heard just what I saidThey`re always pulling you back when you wanna get aheadThey pull you back cause they`re not with itYou talk about school, they talk about `quit it`Soon you`ll see that time does flyBut you spent most of it out gettin highThought about it, much, much laterCould`ve went to school and been much greaterBut you chose to lead that fateNow you`re sucking on a bone when it should`ve been steakThe whole purpose of the story I toldWas mainly to inspire you to reach your goalStop walking through life as if you were blindYou should reach for your goal cause I`m reaching for mineAnd I`m from "The Bridge" "Queensbridge"
