Все началось в 1992 году, именно тогда на руинах легендарной хардкор-комманды Wolfpack появились на белый свет Bonecrusher. Поначалу группа вообще отвернулась от любых лейблов - ничего не записывали, только исправно играли отличные концерты. В результате появилась масса поклонников, которые хотели купить хоть какой-нибудь релиз, но не могли….
Парни одумались и решили все же записать дебютный диск, который вышел в 1994 году на Lethal Records. Но, по ходу, работники лейбла были полным дурачьем, и вообще не стали продвигать этот диск. Вместо этого они стали толкать людям фуфельные комманды, о которых уже никто и не помнит… Музыкантов это расстроило, да так сильно, что их барабанщик, Gino, угодил в тюрьму, а гитарист George ушел в группу ADZ. Короче говоря, группа умирала…
В 1996 году ребята все-таки справились с проблемамиm и в новом составе ( в группу пришли Pat Hall, гитарист из HFL и барабанщик Noah Lysek) засели в студию. В результате свет увидели две EP'шки ("Animal" и "No Escape"), обе выпущенные компанией Hostage Records в 1996 году. У каждой группы есть переломный момент. Момент, когда надо определиться чего ты хочешь и насколько это тебе нужно. В 1996 году такой момент настал для Bonecrusher… Все случилось на традиционном у америкосов мироприятии Battle Of The Punks, где выступают разные местные ансамбли. Так вот, во время выступления группы публика сошла с ума! Такого угара руководители клуба не видели давно, чего они собственно сильно испугались. Отключив электричество, они силой стаскивали музыкантов со сцены, чему неустрашимый вокалист Raybo всячески сопротивлялся. В итоге секъюрити вынесли его на улицу через зал, при этом Raybo продолжал неистово орать в микрофон. В итоге вызвали полицию, которая надолго закрыла клуб, а группе запретили выступать в течении года.
В 1997 наконец-то им разрешили играть и они отправились в местечко Long Beach, на фестиваль, организованный лейблом Outsider Records. Год репетиций не прошел даром: публика была в восторге, а представители Outsider Records сразу же предложили записать диск. В результате на свет появилась их знаменитая "Angry Youth EP". Но группе все еще не разрешалось играть в клубах, поэтому они выступали на различных фестивалях, разогревая хедлайнеров типа US Bombs, Battalion Of Saints и других. Но частенько выходило все наоборот: их выступление оказывалось гораздо лучше сета хедлайнеров. В прессе начинали появляться положительные отзывы, рецензии и тому подобное. Но группе это уже было не нужно: за 4 года они уже сами сделали себе имя и не хотели ни от кого зависеть. Подтверждением тому стал очень независимый по духу диск "Working For Nothing" (Hostage Records) записанный всего за 2 дня.
К 2003 году группа пришла с четко сформулированной идеологией и принципами. Сами о себе музыканты говорят: Working Class Punk For Working Class Kids. С 1998 года Bonecrusher выпустили "Problems In The Nation" EP (Hostage Records,1998), "Sights On Today" EP (Hostage Records,1999), потрясающую пластинку "Followers Of A Brutal Calling" (Outsider Records, 2000) и "For Your Freedom" EP( 77 RPM Records, 2001). На Outsider Records также вышла компиляция "Singles Collection", которая включает в себя все EP, выпущенные с 1996 по 1999 годы. Проповедуя идеологию Working Class, музыканты настояли, чтобы цена на их диски была не выше 6 баксов. Так что если увидите дороже - смело жалуйтесь музыкантам Bonecrusher'a :).

Back in 1992 the Crush formed from the ashes of Wolfpack - a OC punk outfit. Their early years turned heads, because in the true Crusher tradition, they did what they wanted, not what labels wanted; this gained them fans, but no releases.
Virtually unknown out of their hometown, the Crush released their classic debut on Lethal records, A World of Pain. Even their own label at the time (lethal) chose to ignore them, and instead chose to promote their better known acts like HFL, China White and Chuck. The World Of Pain CD ended up on FLIPSIDE's best of 1995 OC records lists as the NUMBER 2 record, behind only the US BOMBS and ahead of the Stitches 8 X 12 album.
Shortly after, the band's original drummer, Gino ended up in the Minnesota state prison system, George, the original BONECRUSHER guitarist, suffered as well, he ended up in the band ADZ. At this time the band was self-destructing with drug stints and jail time.
In late 1996, the Crusher returned invigorated with a new understanding of itself, where it has gained praise and momentum since, with the addition of HFL's, Pat Hall and the amazing Noah Lysek on drums, they went in the studio to record and produced one of OC's greatest recordings to date, this session went on to become the Animal ep and No Escape, both on Hostage records.
Every band has a defining moment, a point at which things can never be the same, and never go back to what they were...it can either ruin or make you. For Bonecrusher, their defining moment did both, simultaneously. It was one of those, "battle of the punk bands" shows at Malone's Club in Anaheim, put on to showcase the locals.
The Crusher showed up and proceeded to absolutely blow it out, and the frenzied crowd followed suit, a sea of people out of control. The club owners freaked, and pulled the PA plug, an undaunted Raybo, continued to wail the vocals, along with the crowd, sans a microphone, and the palace exploded with energy and chaos. The club owners called the police, who shut the club down and of course, the band came in 2nd place, they lost points for the riot. The band had solidified their spot in OC punk lore, however, now no promoter would touch them, it was a year before their next show.
In 1997, they finally got another live gig, at the now defunct, Clipper in Long Beach, which was promoted by Outsider. The band pumped with a year's worth of frustration, delivered in grand fashion, in fact Outsider was so impressed, they immediately stuck the band in the studio, to record what became the legendary Angry Youth single, released on their own label. Until the club's demise, the Crusher was somewhat of a house band, playing for free, once a month opening and proceeding to smoke a whole slew of headliners like the US BOMBS, Mindrot and the Battalion of Saints
Maximum Rock and Roll, Flipside, Skratch and 3rd Generation Nation magazines all began to rally around the band with great reviews and feature interviews, mid 1998 found the Crush back in the studio recording for their much anticipated follow-up CD, in true Bonecrusher fashion, they decided to do it themselves.
